Group of questions

Group of questions

How to use a question group ?

On your platform, you can add a question group to your forms. This type of block allows you to group together several related questions in order to structure the form in a clearer and more coherent way. This is particularly useful when you want to present several fields on the same subject together, such as information about a project or a product, for example. Unlike recursive questions, question groups are not repeated. They are only used to organize fields for better readability, both for the administrator and the candidate. To use them correctly, simply add the desired questions to the group. These will be displayed together in the same group in the form.

It is also possible to display a group of questions only under certain conditions, depending on the candidate's previous answers.

  1. In your form, on the right side of your screen, you will see the different types of questions

  1. Drag the question group icon and drop it into the reserved space.

  1. You will get this result, where you will need to name the question. In our example, we named it “Project Information.”

  1. You can enable or disable the “Make mandatory” button on the group, but this has no effect on the questions within the question group.
Warning
Enabling the “mandatory” option on the question group has no effect if the questions within it are not themselves mandatory. Remember to set each question as mandatory individually for them to be taken into account.

  1. To use the question group correctly, you must add other questions inside the group. To do this, drag the icon for the desired question and drop it into the recursive group. In our example, we will add a long text question.

  1. After configuring the question group, save it by clicking on the “Save” button at the top right of your screen.

  1. Click on the computer icon to preview the form in computer mode.

  1. Click on the phone icon to preview the form in mobile mode.

Notes
If you are using a grouped question solely for decorative purposes (for example, to visually structure the form), it is recommended that you use a separator instead. The main advantage of grouped questions is that you can apply a condition to the entire group, rather than having to define it for each question individually.
