The different types of operation

What is an operation ?

An operation consists in testing a condition or performing an action. There are 4 types of operation. We have : 
  1. New action : These actions make modifications to the system
  2. Scheduled actions : Scheduled actions are executed in the future, according to the configured duration.
  3. New condition : These actions are executed only if all previous conditions are true.
  4. Advanced new condition : These actions can be used to create conditions with multiple scenarios




New actions

An action is a modification to a system. We find actions such as :
  1. Send an e-mail : This action sends an e-mail to specified users.
  2. Make an HTTP request : This action allows you to make a post-type http request to a specific URL
  3. Send a slack notification : This action allows you to send slack notification. 
Warning
Don't forget to link your Slack account to your platform!
  1. Add or remove a tag : This action allows you to add or remove a tag on a deposit
  2. Add to an evaluation session : This action adds a deposit to an evaluation session
  3. Planned actions : Scheduled actions run in the future based on the configured duration



Planned actions 

Selecting this action allows you to : 
  1. Schedule an action : You can choose the duration in minutes, hours, days or months.



New conditions




Actions will only be executed if all previous conditions are satisfied. There are :
  1. A condition on the tags field, which checks whether tags are present on a repository.

This condition only works for the following event(s): Tagged response.



  1. A condition on the current stage, to check whether the current stage of a deposit corresponds to a particular stage on your route.



  1. A repository field condition, which allows you to check via a filter whether a repository meets certain criteria based on different sources of information (status, tag, answer to a question on a form, etc.).



New advanced conditions

Advanced conditions allow you to create conditions with several scenarios


  1. you can then choose which actions will be carried out according to the conditions you have chosen.
