Setting up a private vote

How to configure a private vote ?

On the platform, you can create a voting session and configure it to be private. By activating this option, access to the vote is restricted to authorized users only. Participants will need to be identified, either by e-mail or via a secure connection, in order to access the vote and submit their choices

To set up a private vote, please follow the steps below :
  1. In your voting session, go to the “Settings” tab.



  1. Activate the “Make this vote private” button 



Once you've activated the "Make this vote private" button, you'll need to configure the parameters that will enable you to control precisely who can vote, and secure your selection process. You can : 
  1. Define the e-mail address domains authorized to participate in the vote. In our case, we've used "wiin.io" as an example

Only users with an address ending in gmail.com or monorganisation.fr will be able to vote. Do not enter the “@” character in the field.



  1. Allow voting via a secure login (SSO) (a way of reserving voting to users logged in via a specific authentication method)



  1. To save your configuration, click on the “Save” button. 



  1. On the public interface, only voters who meet the configuration you've defined will be able to vote. For example, in our case, this means addresses with the domain “wiin.io” or users logging in via Google.



Voting via an SSO connection

  1. To vote via a Google connection, select the "Connect with Google" option.



  1. Choose the Google Account with which you will vote.



  1. Once you have logged in, you will be redirected to the interface to cast your vote.



Voting via an authorized e-mail address domain

  1. To vote via an authorized e-mail address domain, select the “Click here to confirm your e-mail address” option.



  1. Enter your “Email address”, accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, then validate the reCAPTCHA,



  1. Copy and paste the validation code received by email onto the platform.



  1. Validate your email address by clicking on the “Validate” button.



  1. Once your email address has been validated, you will be redirected to the voting interface.
