How to use the file type question ?
On your platform, you can add a File question type to your forms. This question type allows candidates to upload a file directly via the form, according to the settings you define. It is particularly useful when you want to collect supporting documents, resumes, ID documents, or any other relevant files related to an application or request. It is also possible to display a File question only under certain conditions, depending on the candidate's previous answers. This allows you, for example, to request an additional document only if the candidate has selected a specific option in a previous question.
Follow these steps to use the file type question :
- Drag the file type question icon and drop it into the reserved space.
- You will get this result, where you will need to name the question. In our example, we have named it “Supporting Document.”
- You can then make the question mandatory by activating the “Make mandatory” button.
- Set the minimum and maximum allowed file size for uploads (in MB). By default, the maximum allowed size is 5 MB.
- Define the accepted file formats; by default, all formats are allowed.
- After configuring the file type question, save it by clicking on the “Save” button at the top right of your screen.
- Click on the computer icon to preview the form in computer mode.
- Click on the phone icon to preview the form in mobile mode.
